rulesBe cozy, leave your stresses of the day elsewhere.

I don't think I can fall asleep without being cuddled anymore. used to need white noise or something playing in the background, but now i'm out in minutes as long as i'm in my fiancee's arms. is nice

I've considered eating a bunch of cheese before bed because I hear it increases the vividness of dreams

you probably should't. it's basically just acting as a stimulant in this case and probably impacting sleep quality

the bacteria in cheese produce a molecule called tyramine, which can potentially behave similarly to a mild stimulant

i take melatonin and then lay in bed and before i know it i'm out
i stopped taking melatonin and my insomnia is back full force rip
to help me sleep sometimes i like to clear up my bed and put my feet up, then cover myself with a blanket, then the comforter, then hold a plushie. and it works a little.

I recommend incense. It's comfy and relaxing in a dark room, and super cheap as well.
It's also how I got into meditation - I'd never really had anyone explain meditation to me, but it turns out that I'd naturally started doing single-point meditation just by having the incense-light be the only thing I could see in my pitch-black room, and staring at it and thinking nothing while I was having really bad insomnia. So, if you've found meditation hard to get into, this is also an easy natural way to get into it, I think

i like to lie down on my left hand side, (picrel) with a pillow between my legs for comfort, cuddling a plushie. sometimes i drink dandelion, Hawthorne and Burdoch tea before bed because its slightly alkaline and it makes my tummy feel really comfy. if im having a hard time getting to sleep (very rare these days, i have become a log) I'll do little breathing exercises. in the past i had lots of trouble sleeping, but now sleeping is very easy for me
