It's EXTREMELY creative. You just haven't seen it in use yet. Seen what it can do to the human body.

It's an interesting practice. Not being from the fabled land of Moorica I have never participated in it. Media and the like kind of normalized it for me but it's still pretty exotic if I put that aside for a moment.

Yeah, even growing up here I can't actually explain why anyone would actually do this to begin with. It makes for an interactive community event though! Also thanks for sharing your perspective! I think we generally need more non- US centric perspectives and experiences shared on the internet; It's one part of the "World-wide web" that's sort of lacking

Maybe it's part of the pumpkin's lifecycle. Some plants spread their seeds by getting animals to eat their fruit, others to rub against them. Pumpkins get humans to carve them up.. somehow.. and how is the true mystery of this period. Perhaps only the species native to the US does this.. We might never know..

Haha I'm glad to share it. I don't think it's all too rare, though. The internet is very large. It's just that many parts of it aren't in English, and in those parts that are in English it can be hard to spot foreigners. In any case, I like hearing from you too.
