unfortunately the tools and documentation for this specific application is quite limited... most console developers keep that sort of thing behind closed doors so i have to rely on homebrew resources which are done mostly by amateurs

its especially difficult when a lot of these sdks relied on proprietary hardware that could differ significantly from retail units... the xbox devkit is similar enough that you can convert a retail unit into a development one but you still are not getting extra features (eg. additional ram, and software included)

for stuff like z80 asm thankfully theres a lot more documentation simply bc the z80 was like Quite Popular when it came out due to its cheapness and the fact that it was used in the og gameboy so theres a lot of stuff based on that

i think part of my struggle with coding comes from the fact that i cannot ever fully commit myself to one specific thing and just sit down and work on something continously, i constantly have to be doing something new or my brain will explode
